However, this may change in the future. Please let me know if you’re interested in face-to-face therapy.

No — and here’s why. Even though some insurance plans do cover Couples & Family Therapy, there are important caveats to keep in mind:
a) They require diagnosing one client (the insured) with a mental health condition.
b) All treatment goals must focus solely on that client’s mental health symptoms, rather than the relationship itself.
c) Any information shared with the insurance company can potentially be subpoenaed, which may affect privacy and confidentiality.I offer private-pay sessions so each person has an equal voice and shared responsibility. This keeps therapy safe, confidential, and focused on helping your relationship heal and gain clarity.

I provide relationship counseling for individuals, couples, and families throughout Washington. As a dual-licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), I draw from a wide range of evidence-based modalities — including CBT, ACT, DBT, Family Systems, Solution-Focused, Narrative, and Mindfulness-Based approaches.

As with any client, I am open to discussion. I do believe it is worth your investment in to bettering yourself, for you to have “tasks” that you will “practice, be aware of, jot down etc.”
When you remember to note “ah-ha” moments or a specific topic to discuss in our next session, it helps to have it ready to go!

No. I do not provide court-ordered evaluations, custody recommendations, or any legal or forensic services.
My role as a therapist is to offer clinical treatment and emotional support, not to make legal determinations.
If therapy records or participation in legal proceedings are requested, this can compromise the confidentiality and therapeutic relationship, and I may recommend that the court or attorneys seek an independent evaluator for that purpose.
